Terms & Conditions
Open software engineered with integrity.

Envman is open-source software provided under the standard MIT license. Here are the terms governing its use across commercial, private, and public software projects.

MIT License Grant SPDX: MIT

Copyright (c) 2026 Fronik & Envman Contributors.

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the standard MIT conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, downloading, or running @fronik/envman via npm or any package manager, cloning the GitHub repository, or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the software.

2. Permitted Commercial & Private Use

Envman is free software. You are entitled to embed, run, and automate Envman inside commercial projects, open-source initiatives, proprietary corporate monorepos, and local development environments without paying licensing fees or royalties.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As Is")

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. While Envman uses native AST parsing and Shannon entropy mathematical models to detect secrets, no automated scanner can guarantee 100% detection of all custom credential formats. Developers and teams remain ultimately responsible for managing their repository secrets and auditing codebases.

4. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS, COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, OR MAINTAINERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

5. Community Guidelines & Responsible Disclosure

We welcome contributions to the Envman project. Contributors agree to abide by standard open-source conduct: respectful collaboration, constructive issue reporting, and adherence to responsible security disclosure. If you discover a potential vulnerability in the scanner logic, please report it via private security advisory on GitHub rather than opening a public issue.

6. Questions & Contact

For legal inquiries, enterprise compliance questions, or trademark questions regarding Envman, please open an issue or inquiry on our official GitHub repository.
